room acoustic complications?

Hi guys

A friend of mine gave me some tounge and groove fur that is around 100 years old. I have probably enough to do about 250 sq/ft.
Now the whole trick that I need help with is how would I configure the walls with this wood If Im recording my acoustic guitar. Then I need the walls be be good enough to listen to mix. (I know.. sounds impossible)
It would be ideal having two dedicated rooms for mixing and recording, but I just have this one room.
Maybe do a couple walls and then put diffusers on the rear wall when mixing?

Also, there is carpet on the floors.
The ceilings are 8'

You guys know alot more about room acoustics then I do.. so any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

See my Acoustics FAQ, 10th in the list on my Articles page:

It will answer most of your questions, plus many more you don't yet know to ask.

click the search link at the top of the page, and type in resonator - I came up with 67 threads on the subject. Read what's there, then post your questions in the Acoustics forum (Thomas Barefoot) or the Design forum (John Sayers) - we can get you going on your own design... Steve
