Help with bass leak

So i am moving around my room treatment. and still cant get my bass in my mixes to stand out or mix well...In fact i cant even hear the bass...I sit in front of my monitors and try to listen for bass...and i hear none of it...then i go into a different room and i can hear...i recorded a dry take to a cd and played it in my car and other places...the bass drum will stand out pretty good but can never hear the low mids and others about 80
bass trap help maybe?

Sounds like either your monitors are not reproducing the bass well, or you're sitting in a "null" where certain bass frequencies are cancelling each other out. Try moving your mixing position around (speakers and your head).
