carpet?????

ok my life room is all wood walls and an acoustical tile ceiling being that the walls are wood already would it be ok to lay carpet in there or is that still a no no... id really rather not put the carpet down but it new and it is free ...

Man, I dunno.
That's a good question, usually we avoid carpet because it absorbs only high frequencies, and makes the room sound bassy.

But you have so many reflective surfaces in there now.

Have you ran an RT60 on this room and varied the surfaces to see what your problem frequiencies are?

I have drywall walls...Ceiling tiles and medium density carpet...I would love to have a wood floor...It would sound so much better than my dead room. At least then I could add somethings to kill the room. I mean how do you make a room more livlier with actual real treatments???you dont...
