Acoustics for Bedroom Studio

Right now I'm saving up for much better equipment for my studio, but for right now i don't want to spend money till i feel like I have enough to get whatever upgrades I need.

So my question is, till i save up for "real" bass traps and acoustic foams, what can I do as an alternative that is fairly cheap (ranging around 5-10$) if not cheap, free would also do the trick for me.

Thank You

Devlin,

You can use comforters to act as acoustic dampening. It does look tacky and isn't always 100% but for the time being it works. If you want some good acoustic foam, there's always e-bay. I bought some foam to fill a 7x7 room from these guys off of e-bay: ortusenterprises .. I admit it's not the best stuff in the world, but for my iso booth, it works perfectly.
