Hi there peeps,

Just got myself one of those Zoom R16 recorders (man are they portableand easy to set up)

Arrived on Wednesday - Went to Daves house (bass player)for rehersals on Saturday
recorded the following setup -

Vocals - SM58 - straight into Channel 3
Bass - Direct out into channel 4
Guitar - line out from small practice amp into channel 5
Keys - Line out from mini mixer (2 synths) into channel 6
Drums - (TD6) Stereo feed into Channel 7 and 8

Got home and put SD Card into pc, copied files into cubase 5

Overdubbed a tamborine and shakers on Song Bigger picture

redone the drums with Superior Drummer2, put some compression and reverb on Vocals
then did a quick rough mix, all with Zoom R16 in windows XP.

I tell you guys the R16 is amazing , its so fast to whiz through projects and really easy to set up.

I personally think that with mastering in cubase or logic etc, this can form a serious set up for anyones studio

I am simply stunned at the quality of gear out there for £320!

here are the links below so have a listen

All songs recorded on ZOOMr16 in 24BIT.
