Tube pre to Firebox question

I am getting an ART MPA Gold tube pre and a Presonus Firebox interface. I am new to recording. Should I go from the MPA Gold to the Firebox with an xlr or through the line in? I figured hooking up with the xlr would make it go through another pre, so is there any reason one would do this? Which will sound better? Thanks
 
I have almost the same set up currently, when Im using mics I use XLR, the XMAX pres in the Firebox are very good and very transparent, which will allow the color to come from the MPA. Let your ears be the judge!
 
you asked this in newbies why are you posting twice? and again you will blow your pres in the firebox if your not careful so use the line in!!
