Logic Pro X, switching channels with amplitube midi controller

So the problem I have is, when I'm recording in logic, if I want to turn my wah on and use it, in amplitube it will do so, but that same midi number is programmed to panning the track, so the tracks starts panning as well.

Is there anyway to turn amplitube to a different midi channel? Where it won't mess with the midi controls in logic and just mess with amplitube?

I know nothing of logic, but in Reaper I had to NOT enable my controller for control, and route its MIDI directly to the track that I want to control. The "control path" is almost like a whole other channel, and when you enable a MIDI device to go to that channel it kind of splits between that and whatever other MIDI channels it might be sending to.
