I'm new at this, so here's the question. I'm trying to place downloaded songs from napster onto a CD. I downloaded music match jukebox, dragged my files over and began the CDR process. The finished product will play on my computer, but not in my car or any other CD equipment that I have. I don't understand the fact that I might have created a data file rather than a file I play on any CD. Any thought from anyone out there. Thanks

Did you close the CD when you were finished? If you don't that's what happens. Later Donny!!!

bankersway,

Make sure you are creating a "audio CD" and not a "data CD".
:)
Also, are you sure that you are using a CDR and not a CDRW.

I presume that the Napster files are in MP3 format, which regular CD players cannot read. You need to convert the files to Stereo wave files at 16bit/44.1kHz in order to get your CD player to understand what's going on. You could get a CD player that can read MP3 but I don't know the price tag on one of those.
