Live Monitoring

I need to know a way to get a good monitor mix. we
four musicians. Would it be a good idea to just get
line out from the house mix. We all wear headphones
to monitor ourselves. This is a church praise band and
soundmen are all volunteer and not a musician among them.

Dave, you should have small monitors on stage for the vocalists. All that should come through them, at least for a church praise band, is definitely, the vocal and the rhythm guitar. Everyone should be able to hear their own instruments. I was in a praise band for two years in a Willow Creek associate called Lakeland Community Church. We take the music very seriously.

Oh yeah, if applicable, you'd run the keyboard into the monitor.
