An Awful sound from my setup

Hello all,

I am running N tracks with the Omni studio and delta 66 card.
My comp is amd t-bird 1gig, 256 mg DDR, amd761 chipset.

The good news is I finally got everything hooked up right and recorded something audible!

The bad news is the sound is very harsh and has a pulsing distortion and intermitant stops in the sound.

Please help! I think I'm getting close to actually making this thing work!

Brother, Is that a 1 gig hard drive? If so you need more room! And i assume thats 256 MB's? Thats more than enough RAM, I think maybe you should slowly go through everything over. Uninstall the program and then re-install, then un hook all cables and re route them, make sure your soundcard is properly configured and the levels are set right and then see...:confused:

Shem, that's a 1 GHz processor! And today 256MB Ram is pretty much the standard...
Check the levels on the Delta 66 so that the signal isn't clipping. As Shem said, if your levels are set right, you should get some decent sounds provided that the source you're recording sounds decent...
