Thought it was worth posting again. American Idol!

I think that the recording is good...I like the mix too. I had no trouble with instrument definition...not always easy to do in a meatal genre. Gtr sounds are good. Vocal was out front....albeit monotonous melody...again...good for the metal genre.

Thanks a lot. I played all of the instruments on the track as well as recorded and mixed it. I guess it suits me well since I quit my band to start a solo project, lol.
 
Just to let you all know...

I didn't use a bass guitar in this song. I used a regular 6 string guitar with a pitch shifter on it.

I don't really like the feel of most basses so I found a way around using one.

On a regular guitar, the strings are closer together and smaller, too... Plus! The neck is shorter. I can play more accurately and get a wider note range than I could with a bass.

I'm not saying all of you bass players around here should quit using basses... I'm just giving an alternative.

Fooled ya, didn't I?!
