Onward Motion (Solitary Journey)

I started writing this song about 10 years ago, shortly after I started taking guitar lessons. It's been through several revisions, but I finally have something I'm satisfied with so I don't think I'll be changing it again in the future.

I recorded the drum track, and guitar rhythm tracks using a Fostex MR-8, which I then exported to minidisc. I recorded the lead track over that using 2 minidisc players (one to play, one to record) and a mixer from Radio Shack.

It took a while to connect.
The rhythm & leads have the same effect. They would be better served to have a greater amount of difference between them.
The drums are really retro. Is that a snare or handclap?
I like the theme. As things progress the guitar levels seem to get closer together & bother each other.
The song actually reminds me of Snakefinger and of a Hi Fi version of The Residents.
Nice work - keep at it.
