Over the last few years I have slowly been recording an album for one of the bands that I am in. The recording has all been done and now it is time to mix it. However it is taking me a long time to do the mixes and the band are getting a bit impatient. So we decided to see if a local studio could mix one of our songs better than I could. If they could we'd get them to mix the whole album.
Today we got back one track that we gave the studio to mix. Unfortunately the band can't decide which mix is better. So we want a public vote on it.
So here are the two mixes. One was done by me on a Roland VS-2480 monitoring with HHB Circle 5s and a Samson Servo 170, one was done by Sam at Airtight Studios, Chichester on a Mackie D8B, Cubase SX and using Mackie HR824 monitors.

Please let me know which you think is best and also critique away as much as you want. It's important to us that the album sounds as good as it can. So we really need your opinions.
