LSD and the CIA (MK-Ultra)

That was excellent. The voice came from one of those internet readers for the blind, right? I want one so bad.

XXXMusic.com is a wonderful site.

Thanks for the link.

I downloaded a bunch of those Negativeland clips. They're pretty badass. I really like what you are doing with XXXMusic. There are so many good songs that are now being made into to pieces of rap remake shit. I would hate to see that happen to my songs.

If you're interested, I have a web page at http://madrabies.xooo0ooox.com

There's a link to my MP3.com page on there somewhere. They're all semi-pro. I have a lot more that are halfway complete.

Thanks again; I've crosslinked to your site, as you probably noticed already.

That Negativland stuff was material Don Joyce and I put together for a three hour radio show he does every week on KPFA in Berkeley. You can get the webcast of it by going to:

http://www.kpfa.org

The show runs every Thursday at midnight (excepting for the first Thursday of the month). When there is a fifth Thursday in the month, it is a FIVE hour show!! Those are the ones I like to do!

The stuff on that SPOOKED page actually came from TWO three hour shows, I whittled six hours of material down to the 140 minutes of material there. Send me a few bucks for shipping/materials and I'll send you the two CD's.

Interesting abstract piece. There were a LOT of little clicks/pops that I'm assuming were caused by the TTS stuff. I'd open those up in an editor and mute 'em out... it was a little distracting.

PG - Most of those little pops and clicks (especially the ones that are regularly timed) are coming from Don's "Booper", a little noise-making device constructed by David Wills (The Weatherman). They're supposed to be there, it's part of the noise that thing makes.

No doubt there are other "distracting" noises too, but that's sort of the way we like it, gives it a certain "feel" I guess.

By the way, a lot of that was constructed entirely ad hoc, we put together a lot of this material live, in the middle of the radio show. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. But when you're improvising with about 20 different pieces of electronics running through several different mixers etc etc, you're bound to get some uncleanliness there. But, like I said, that's the way we like it!

I do produce much more polished stuff in my little studio though.

If you liked that tune, here's another one in the same vein:
