Adjustments to Vocal?

Hello Guys,
I have been working on getting an nice vocal sound both in and out of the mix
I have a clip showing a dry vocal with no EQ or Compression, another clip with EQ and Compression, and a final clip with how I processed the vocals into my mix.

If any of you would lend an ear, tell me anything that could be better or that I should watch out for. Am I recording too hot, poor EQ, etc. I am really trying to get proficient at EQ and Compression

Warning- The first clip is pretty loud before I compressed it

Sounds (and looks) like you didn't put any make-up gain on the compressor. Try that, and post again
