what plugin to raise low parts of vocals

what plugin do i need to have the low parts of a song detected and boosted to a consistant level?

That's what a compressor does.

for something a tad more colored, try Waves Renn Compressor...
I like CompX though...

if you are digital, you can cut and paste the low parts to a different track and raise the level there......

thanx for the advice, i have been doing the cut and paste thing glidge but like tube dude said, it is extra work. i'm trying to achieve the same quaility as the hardworking person as yourself, but a little more expediently. thanx for the replies

i turned the volume up on everything and then compressed it to a reasonable level and it came out okay.
