Oscilloscope for Spectral Analyzer ?

I asked this question in the (Spectral Analyzer) thread, but I don't think any one has seen it.

But anyway, does any one know if an oscilloscope would work well, or at all for a spectral analyzer ?

No, But as a tool to root out noise Its pretty usefull. The spectrum analizer when used in solo mode will show where the instrument is you want to eq. As the same tool they are not but they do both have thier uses.

Some o-scopes have spectrum analyzers built in, or available as plug in modules. Not well suited for recording though. Plus they're expensive as hell. You could buy a new computer for less.
