Cassette Mixdown

I hope I'm at the right forum here, if not, please correct me.

I bought a second hand Fostex 250 4 track cassette recorder to record some music. It works fine, but I'm still a bit lost about the following: I can record multiple tracks, but how do I get a tape which I can play at a regular tapedeck. The recorder works at a 3 3/4 speed, so if I put a cassette in a regular tapedeck, it plays at half speed. How do I transfer the music to a normal-speed tape?

Thanks in advance.

You take your left and right outputs (mixdown) of the Fostex (through it's internal mixer or you can take the 4 individual tracks to a outboard mixer) and capture this to a 2 track source whether it's another cassette deck, reel to reel, Daw etc. It can not be done internally with the fostex alone.

So, basically your taking your 4 track multitrack source down to a 2 track capture device.
