I have a pretty decent analog front end:
Sebatron vmp-2000e
universal audio la-610
Demeter RV-1 Real Spring Reverb
2 RNC compresssors
I also have on order a Oram (trident) t-8 8 channel mixer
I was using a Tascam TSR-8 8 track that I would like to still use even to just record acoustic drum parts and I would like to mix down to my TASCAM 32 1/4 inch reel to reel.
My digital end is a Pro Tools LE system comprised of Digi 002R and an Apogee Rosetta 800 DAC
I originally wanted to cut out my PTLE system all together and go completely analog but lately Ive been listening to some Pro Tooled recorded vinyl records on my HiFi and I am very impressed with how they sound. I know the mastering has a lot to do with it but this revelation makes me want to utilize my digital system as well and feel that my Rosetta 800 will insure that I get the best that digital has to offer.
Question: since i already invested into the Oram T-8 mixing board - how can I utilize it in my system? Can I mix with it? Should I use it as a front end only for my TASCAM TRS8 reel to reel?

I am getting the 8 channel version of this board.
My ultimate goal is to press a vinyl record.
THANKS
