OK, I've exhausted my (limited) computer admin knowledge...
Problem: My audio only tunes are running sweet on their own installation of XP home. Everytime I try to use SampleTank, even just a couple voices, the system bogs down and sometimes crashes.
It worked just *fine* in the ME partition that I thoughfully nuked for performing so well. I suppose curiosity kills more than cats...
Any ideas what I might be missing? I'm about to reinstall ME, but I'm really fond of XP's habit of NOT crashing as much as ME.
Here's my setup:
Sony Vaio Laptop, PIII 800, 512M, 20gig 7200rpm, XP home running in Standard PC mode.
Cubase VST 5.1r1, Tascam US-428 using ASIO driver.
SampleTank 1.1 (I think...the newest version)
My guess is that its something in XP. Wouldn't that be a big surprise?
