Looking to switch computers and have been looking around for something that will allow me to spend more time playing and recording, and less time researching and fixing. Does anyone know what kind of chipset is in the Dell XPS 420? Amazingly, the lady that helped me could not answer the question. I'm currently using the Profire 26262 with Cakewalk Sonar 8PE. Well, hope to be using. The system she quoted me has the following:
Intel Core2 processor Q8200 (2.33Ghz 1333fsb) w/ quad core tech. and 4MB cache 375watt power supply.
4GB DDR2 SDRAM at 800MHZ
500GB NCQ SATA Hard drive (7200rpm)
AMD Radeon HD3450 256MB PCI-Express x16 RV620.
Any thoughts on the system itself, or previous experiences?
Anyone know what chipset is used for the firewire connection?
