Any Mac users using Reaper?

Currently I'm doing podcasts using GarageBand but I've been hearing a lot of good things about Reaper.

After visiting their site I see that the PC version is well cared and loved but the Mac versions are still in beta (the 64-bit still being in alpha).

Are there any Mac users out there using Reaper?

What's your experience with it and how does it compare to GarageBand?

If someone is basically just doing podcasts, is there a reason to move up to Reaper?

I downloaded the trial version and I can't make any use of it so far. Of course I'm having some issues with my primary DAW as well (kind of a noob with digital). Garageband is pretty intuitive, I use it often, although my primary is Studio One. Reaper, not so much, at least for the Mac. Give it a shot. Its free to try with no limitations. Let me know what you think! :D
