I have a weird AC power problem in my church. Their is noise in the recording only if I plug in the mixer, and the AC at the same time with my laptop. If I record with out the ac plug (with my laptop by the way) there is no noise. But as soon as I plug in the AC it brings noise. I have an Echo Indigo card. I'm going to try and attach a clip of the noise so maybe you can hear it. I tried getting a Monster Power Strip which is supposed to get out the noise. But it didn't work. It brought down the noise about -6db, that's it. I even tried plugging in the mixer to the strip as well. I only bought the next to the highest Monster Strip, 79$ the next up was 99$. If the 79$ didn't do the job then I didn't want to try the more $$$$ one. Any suggestions or maybe some better AC filters I could try?
