??? about no output from right speaker with Cakewalk

I have a Dell 4550 computer. New, I bought it about 4 months ago. I installed Cakewalk's Music Creator and want to record some music I've written. I'm running my left and right out from my Boss GT-6 effects processor into a stereo Y adapter with a stereo 1/8" plug and going into my line in on the back of my computer. My problem is that when playing or recording for that matter, I only get sound from my left speaker. I've checked the levels on my line in windows speaker configuration. When I slide the level over to the right, I get no sound but when I slide it back to the middle, there is sound coming out of my left speaker. What am I doing wrong that I can't get sound to come out of my right speaker?

Sounds like this should have been posted in the Cakewalk forum. However, what do you have selected for your inputs in Music Creator?

You should have "stereo" or "L/R" selected. If you have just Left or just Right selected as you input, that could be your problem.
