What was Klipsch spinning under three candles??

Looks like an old mono Concord...but it's hard to make out the writting on the machine? A two piece unit anyway...seperate transport and amp unit...probably a pro machine for its day, back in the late 40's or early 50's?

Cheers! :)

Jeff! :D thanks for lead-thought!
I'm not sure why I care to know ...heh heh .., was gathering some info about horns etc, so got to Klipsch's place and his machine's photo has got into my head sort of like a bad song, that you can't get rid of
was searching for 'concords' ..have not found anything like it. then went to that "reel-to-reel museum site" ( http://reel2reeltexas.com/index.html )... and by browsing through photos - got IT! :p
it's Berlant Concertone 20/20 or what ever exact name/title it was
here are some direct shots:

There are actually 4 candles, but one is hidden behind the center-front candle, so that’s clearly the missing Marilyn Monroe tape on the reel-to-reel. First you will observe the candles are out, so they’ve recently been in the wind. Now just do the math.

There are 3 shadows of the 4-candle candelabra.

Mr. Klipsch has his right hand hidden, which tells us to subtract the number of candles from the number of candle shadows. 12 - 4 = 8. August is the 8th month of the year.

Next count the fingers on Mr. Klipsch’s visible hand. That’s right… 5 for the 5th day. Now note there are 6 windage holes in each reel and there are 2 reels, which gives us the next piece of the puzzle… a 6 and a 2, as in 62.

Finally, look at Mr. Klipsch’s feet. The toe pointing towards the camera is as the big hand of a clock and is in the 12 o’clock position. The right foot is the small hand and is in the 2 o’clock position.

Marilyn Monroe died at approximately 2:00 A.M. on 8/5/62 (though the death certificate says she was pronounced dead at 3:45 A.M, it’s estimated she actually died around 2:00).

So, there you have it… Simple, eh? Man, you guys need a keeper. :D

hmmmm. Should I take it as a lead thought to the answer: "Genuine leather, most popular size". ? :D
(back in the old days it was either genuine leather either no shoes at all, which is a form of genuine leather on its own. :) )
