Starting a small, vintage analog studio - advice?

Hey folks, just joined recently and I'm so glad I found this resource! I just thought I'd pop in and see if you guys could help out a newbie.

I have a TEAC A1200, a TEAC A1500 and an Akai 1730D-SS and I'm putting together a small vintage studio for local singer/songwriters (focusing on the MUSIC, not the production). I have 2 vintage Sony F-121's that i've used in the past - what else would you guys recommend? Between eBay and Craigslist I'm trying to cull together some good vintage monitors/pres - what's the minimum setup I'd need to get some good recordings?

I'll mostly be focusing on acoustic singer/songwriters - so no drums, mostly guitar/piano/acoustic instruments/vocals - very minimal

a good ribbon or two + the dmp3 preamp will get you very far. A nice SDC and a sennheiser 421 is always nice for backup. BUt the most important thing. Be sure your tapemachines work as good as possible and buy fresh tape.
