I don't know... It looks pretty funky in that woodgrain chasis though doesn't it? (I wonder if that's original?)

LOL I would cut a damn hole in the wall and put in a custom door for a 2" 16 track machine!
Here's the guy he bought it from -- maybe you already saw it in his feedback. It looks more like the current seller was told by somebody, who was told by somebody that it works.
Sounds like one of those, "Gosh, I'm sorry but I thought it worked, but it was sold as is."
Would anyone who would spend $900.00 on an item like that not even test it? No way!
Also the pinch roller on the right looks shot to hell.
"Local pickup only" means that you can get it quite cheap, and also, that you should be able to drive over there and look at it in person, plug it in, and see that the lights go on, and the the mechanics seem OK.
If that works, it would probably be fixable if you have contacts who like electronics.
