On input 8 of my mx5050, I'm getting an input signal only when the SRL button is pushed. The manual input level knob doesn't seem to be functional. Took off the back panel and it Looks like the wires to/from the SRL switch and the input level knob are all properly connected to the switch/knob, but I didn't trace to where they might be connected on the channel circuit board. I can still record with track 8 as long as I use the SRL function, but I would like the ability to use that input level knob.
Do you think this is something simple to fix? From the block diagram in the manual, it looks like this input level knob is a simple potentiometer shorting the signal to ground, and when the SRL is pushed in, it bypasses this volume pot. So I'm guessing that there's either a problem with the SRL switch not properly switching the volume knob in the loop, or the volume pot is shorting all of the signal to ground due to a poor solder connection or other wiring problem.
