Hey, this is my first post here!
I've been building my home studio and I've been looking for information about cassette recorders maintenance to have my old Tascam 414 (has been stored in the closet over a long time) in proper conditions to get the most of it.
I read a lot of information in this awesome forum, also in the Tascam's owner manual, and I could find this video that was very useful to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2LQr63X7lk
I know that the guy in the video can give some info that you might be disagree with, like using cotton swabs instead of the foam ones (actually I bought the foam ones), or using the 2-way cassette head cleaner... However, I've found this video very didactic and practical for the newbie ones like me, full with doubts and fears of eff-up the equipment.
