I've owned an old Tascam 414 for about a year and half. It was working well until suddenly, the first channel/track stopped working. It won't record. It won't play recordings previously recorded onto it. Whenever I turn the volume up (specifically for that channel), I just get this loud, distorted buzzing noise. Even if the Play button isn't pushed down -- if the volume isn't at zero, the first channel is droning.
Has anyone experienced anything like this? Any idea what the problem is?
