Vocal / Reverb unit for live playing

I recently ordered a Mackie 1642VLZPro which I will use in my home studio along w/ Sonar 2.0. Sometimes our rock/folk rock band will rehearse in the home studio, and sometimes I'll take the Mackie to a gig to use as our mixing board.

My question is this: Do I need an outboard Reverb or vocal unit in order to get decent vocal sound? If so, any suggestions on what unit to use at a good price?

Thanks,

TT

If you are in a dry room, you may find adding a reverb box to your setup will be very helpful.

Lexicon, TC Electronics, Alesis, Digitech, and a few others all have some nice very inexpensive units (most of them one rack space boxes). Some can be configured as dual mono (so you can set up two completely different reverbs, or reverb + other effect) while others you can't - so if that is a useful feature it may factor into your decision.
