Great Effects Processor Under $600

I wanna Good effects processor that does great effects, LIKE i try to do like a ROBOTS voice on this soundcard i got, its a EMU 1212m, but the robot voice sounds more like BAD feedback then a robot, I want one thats gonna sound REALLLLL good, Is there an effects processor that can do this for me under $600????????????

soo these effects processors will provide high quality effects. Remember that song COMPUTER LOVE, with that voice sounded like a robots, BUT CLEAN AS HELL, will these effects processors provide that kind of quality for me?
 
Both processors mentioned will give you clean effects... I've got the 550, and plan on picking up rumour soon, but if you're just looking for a clean robot vocal sound then why not use a vocorder plug-in... that's probably what was used on the original recording you're referencing... and you can probably find one as freeware...
