Dbx 576 Channel strip

Any opinions?

I already have an 1176 and Rnc for comps, an API and neves for pres.

I have no EQs. Would this unit be a nice addition or a step down?

Ok, well I guess nobody has experience with this. I think I'll let it pass.

I was expecting moresound to have some info on it!
 
This sneaked by me ..... I'm not a real big fan of the DBX silver line. You would have to mod it with better tube and an electronics upgrade. Is there an A/D converter on the one your looking at?

For a channel strip with good all around feature plus EQ I would set my sights on the Joe Meek TwinQ ;) Love that IRON button!
 
Yeah, I've looked at the Joe Meek before and it looks pretty rad.

I just had an opportunity for a good deal on the DBX and wanted to see if it was any good. I let it pass.

For now my "channel strip" is all separate pieces (Pre->EQ->Comp) and I think it's gonna stay that way for a little bit.
