I just got an Apogee Duet and it mostly works fine, except that when I plug the supposedly balanced XLR output of either one of my external pre-amps, the Art MP Studio Projects or the Presonus Blue Tube, into it and set the device to +4db Line input like I'm supposed to for balanced inputs, the output is unusably low. But it works well when set to the -10db Line setting. This doesn't seem right as the outputs from these pre-amps are supposed to be balanced. Could my unit be defective?
