questions about midi

I recently purchased an m-audio o2 usb midi controller, and i can make music with it, but can't seem to get it to talk to my pc midi studio program ( Magix) . I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Does anyone have any suggestions?

i'm not familiar with magix, but have you configured it to see the o2, or the port/interface that the o2 is plugged into?

Run the CD that came with your O2.

Then go into the software and set the 'Playback parameters' to whatever protocol is supported by your soundcard and your midi device to M-Audio O2.
