sennheiser e835

Hey, I just came from Guitar center. I was looking at the Shure SM57, but was pursuaded by the salesperson that the Sennheiser e835 would be better for both vocals and instruments. It was only $10 more, so what the hell! Does anyone have any information on that mic? Anyone use it? I havent had much luck finding any reviews or anything on the net, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nobody seems to have ever used this mic, or know anything about it. Maybe it sucks real bad. At any rate, I'll tell you all how I like it once I get to use it.

SM57 IS no longer the BEST MIC for the price. There are many better mics and the Sennheisers Evolution are some of them.
SM57 is popular only because its popular (?) and people are familiar with its sound. It's a 'safe' buy for recordists. If you are adventurous to look elsewhere you'll be surprised.
