mic comparison. need help!!!!!

ive been thinking about getting a condenser mic for a while now but im very limited on money.
these are the deals ive been considering and id appreciate it if you guys helped me find something for under $100 that is good.

MXL 990 with shockmount and case-$59.99
SP B-1 - $79.99
 
Arty, I thinks it's all been said, and much too much more. Do a search on this forum with the terms SP* B1* and MXL 990 and you'll get all the reading you need.

In brief, the consensus is the 990 is inferior to the B1.

Then, you've got the phantom power issue - you need it for a condenser.
