Hi

I was wondering if anyone out there owns both the Lawson mp47 and the elam251. I actually own the mp47 and love it. Are they both very close in in sound? How much are they different, and which would you prefer? I am thinking of ordering one, but need to know if it makes practical monetary sense. The mp47 is just gorgeous on vocal tracks and on almost anything else. Can anyone advise?

Also has anyone tried usin a Peluso 22-251 Tube mike? I'm wondering how it might compare to a Lawson. It claims the same sonic qualities, and sound at half the price.

Homestudioguy, You're probably right, but since I've had great luck with my mp47 I'll probably end up going back to Lawson and purchasing their elam 251 switchable head that will mate my mp47. The price for that head is around $1200 as opposed to around $1600 for the Peluso.
