Gt55

I bought my GT55 years ago, before I really had any idea how to research this stuff. I like it pretty well, and it does stuff my sm57 cannot. Just out of curiosity, is this mic any good, or should I be thinking upgrade? I paid $350 for this and a presonus tube pre (which looks cool and... um, looks cool). I use it for vocals and, when neccessary, acc guitar or cello. I record into my trusty digi 001, directly, usually (sometimes with the tube pre).

General comsensus is that it's a good mic (read the above thread for more details). I have one for acoustic guitar, amp mic'ing and my own vocals. I like it very much and for the $150 I paid at GC, I like it even more.

I have one and I use it a lot.
Works on most vocals I record.

Now the tube pre is a different story. I have 2 and they dont get much use.
