Schoeps CMC62S, Gefell M930, Gefell M300
Schoeps were on a jecklin disc about 5 feet from the piano.
M930s ORTF about 5 feet from the piano
Gefell m300s ORTF about 5 feet from the piano
all were the same distance from the piano and the same height. (4')
mics>>>DAV BG-1>>>Mytek Stereo 192>>>SD 722
recorded at 24/96, then opened in sequoia and dithered/resampled to a 16/44.1 file using POW-R 3 # 3 algorithm.
not scientific but still interesting. I prefer the M930s myself. I did this to determine which mics to use for an upcoming piano recital.
