M-Audio Ozonic w/ Garage-Band

Can't seem to find the answer on the Mac sites, so... (This one is also posted under the "MIDI Mania" heading. Sorry, but I'm a bit under the gun with this one, thanks for your forbearance).

A friend of mine has GB, and the above interface. He's using a Jam-Pack CD full of orchestral loops, and has transformed them into Audio Units format. Now, the Ozonic won't recognize the AU- or the GB won't reconize the Ozonic... but the new AU instruments are greyed-out in the drop-down menu when he tries to call them into the project.

Any ideas? Thanks for your time...

Even when you're 'a bit under the gun' it's never a good idea to crosspost.

You won't get any faster (or better) answers and it's a PITA for everyone concerned. Including you.

Does your friend have GB one or GB two?

Has he ever had a success using the Ozonic with GB? Or is he trying it for the first time?

Does GB even recognize the AU format? Has he had sucess importing sounds in this format before this?

Point taken about the cross-post, thanks for the heads-up.

I believe it's the newer edition of GB.

The Ozonic is a new item for him- he's used it for playing MIDI parts into a composition, but the AU thing is a new endeavor. This last question would probably best be answered on a Mac/GB forum, but I haven't heard back from any yet. Funny, one of them wouldn't let me register because of my email address (yahoo).

Confirmation:
GB version 2...
He's new to the Ozonic...
GB does in fact recognize AUs.

He's trying to get a composition finished in time for a performance (and rehearsals, etc), so I was under the impression that this was a critical situation- but it turns out he's got a friend here in Providence who's a 'Mac freak', and can evidently help him out with the problem. Just learned that.

Anyway, thanks for your interest, ssscientist, and your patience, once again (it is not as commonplace as one would think).
