M-Audio Axiom Keys & Pads used Separately?

I've had my axiom 61 for a while now, but I haven't really had the time to sit down and learn all its features.

I'm wondering if it is possible to use the keys to control one instrument and use the pads to control another instrument at the same time. And if so, what programs will allow me to perform this way?

If this is possible, I would greatly appreciate any help or advice.

That was my plan initially, but I can't seem to find it.

But, I notice that the file size is smaller than the file I originally have for the Axiom 61. So I don't know if the section numbers have changed or not from what I advised you to read.
