Hello,

I seem to have a little issue with my USB Evolution MK-449C keyboard.

Recently I bought myself an E-MU Planet Phatt sound module.

I now have my MK-449C connected to the pc through USB, the keyboard’s MIDI out is connected to the MIDI in from the Planet Phatt module, but the module does not seem to receive any MIDI signal from my keyboard.
The module is connected to my pc by stereo jack cables. When I play demo songs on the PP module I can hear them through my pc speakers. I can also record these demo songs in Sonar. I think it is a matter of assigning the MIDI channels, but I just can’t seem to figure out how to properly do that. Can anyone PLEASE help me out?

Thanks in advance.

When you play your keyboard, do you have your sequencer set to echo its midi in to its midi out? That needs to be done in software somehow.

You really need to check your manuals and figure out how to assign the midi channels. You probably just need to turn something on in one of the menus.

Make sure that the controller is set to send midi on CH1 and that the EMU is setup to receive midi on CH1. That will get you started.
