Ive been seing alot of Japanese teles on a web site going for a good price. What's thier quality like compared to an American tele?
 
Just as with any other axe I would HIGHLY reccomend playing it first, if you like the way it feels, sounds, and plays whos anyone to tell ya no.
 
Is it a Squier? If so I think it's one of the best you can get for the money. Fender offers a 1 year warranty on them so if it's not up to snuff they'll fix it.

I just bought a Strat from Indonesia and I'm very happy with it. I've had to do a little tweeking on it, but I've done this with almost every guitar I've ever had. The tone is rightious!
