If it has a headphone out or a line out (provided you are still driving the speaker). I don't think many tube amps (if any?) will have a headphone out that will mute the speaker. Don't get any other crafty ideas.

Farview Well-known member Apr 24, 2006 #4 Even if your amp does have a line out, it will sound like crap and you will still have to have a speaker hooked up. The speaker output on your tube amp must have a speaker attached when you are playing or you will blow the output transformer.
