I was pretty happy to have recently stumbled on these at TARGET (of all places) for only $9.99 which isn't bad either (and probably closer to about what they should cost) Target Guitar hanger

Looks like I'll be making the trip to Home Depot now instead though. Great tip!
 
On ebay someone sells some nice wooden ones that you can screw into your wall for like 4 plus shipping. I got me a couple of those.

Do you have to have them with one side higher than the other? Guitar hanger swivel because the headstock is never equal on both sides.

Also, I knew a guy who hung his Heritage on something like that and it ate through the clear finish.

I've used hangers for my guitars for 20 years or more-the Telecaster headstock won't work for mine because is has a weird offset. Strat style and Gibsons work well, my early design hangers didn't swivel though..
 
Thats my dads fingers, we had been working on a lotta stuff that day already, I think they may have some dry blood on them :)
About the swiveling, if you can tell these hooks just screw into the wood, if you need it swiveled you just screw em in a little more offset.

It's a classic... If you're worried about the finish just cut up an old polishing cloth and wrap the damn thing. ;)
