Two audio outputs - one set of monitors

I have a set of KRK monitors that will accept a balanced XLS input....unbalanced TRS and an RCA input. My question is whether or not there's any danger of damage to my monitors if I have input at both the TRS and RCA plugs. I don't have any intention of running both output sources at the same time but you never know what can happen by mistake...............although I tend to think that shouldn't be a problem anyway. I do know I could have a switch in between.....but was wondering if that was an absolute need. I sometimes use my Zoom R16 as an AI and I also use my Tascam DP24 to record some raw tracks for later finishing in Reaper. So........the monitor out for my Zoom and my Tascam would both be connected to the KRK's. Do you see any issues there?

I would use a switch. Not sure how the internals are on those boxes and a hard bypass would take any possibility of goofiness out of the equation.
