So i want to be able to switch between two different sets of monitors, one to mix on, and the other to check them. The problem is, one pair is powered, and the other is passive with an amp. So, does this affect anything?

what i am really looking for is something either under 20 bucks to buy, or something i can build from the ratshack.
 
The little Radio Shack speaker selectors ain't bad. Certainly for a budget home studio they get the job done!
