Faint Popping Sound in Monitors

I'm running two sets of Samson monitors (MediaONE 3&4as) from a Line 6 UX2. When I have any sound coming out of the monitors, I get random little pops. It's nothing loud or anything but I can be heard over my guitar and it shows up in the recordings. This same sound will show up when I play music through iTunes or any other media player. If I have no sound coming out, I get no pops... any ideas?

I get the same when avtives are plugged into the same outlet as other equipment. A ground/interference issue for me. Might want to check that.

The speakers are heating up, and someone is using them to make popcorn...

Actually the problem was power to the UX2. Evidently Line 6 has had some issues with HP laptops providing enough power to the device to run it properly. This issue (and many others I was having) seem to have been rectified since introducing a self powered USB hub.
