I am in the process of going digital with recording. I used to have a Roland tr505 ages ago. I listened to some of my old analog tapes & it had some GREAT patterns in it, though it sounds tinny.
I now have a Boss DR660. The sound is great, but it does not seem to have all the great patterns that the 505 had. I only uses 2 or 3 of the preprogrammed patterens.
Now don't get me wrong, there are a lot of programed patterns, but a variety of genre. I am interested in Rock format.
Is it worth getting a tr505 again, anyone out there useing one? I see alot on Ebay, some go for a fair amount of money considering what I though was old outdated sounds as compared to what you can buy today.
